Ruby Holiday King, Death, Providence, Rhode Island, Obituary: Brave 4-Year-Old Remembered for Her Courage and Joy

Ruby Holiday King brought extraordinary joy to the people around her, filling her young life with laughter, curiosity, courage, and a love for the simplest adventures. Her family has announced that Ruby peacefully passed away at home on October 8, 2026, surrounded by love, following a year-long battle with medulloblastoma. She was four years old.

Born on October 3, 2022, Ruby was known for her determined spirit, intelligence, and fearless personality. She loved dancing, reading, singing along to music, solving puzzles, riding her bike, swimming, and exploring nature. She delighted in collecting flowers, leaves, rocks, and mushrooms during walks and enjoyed helping with chores, playing with bubbles, and watching sunsets.

At the center of Ruby’s world was her twin sister, Beatrix. Born just one minute earlier, Ruby embraced her role as the older sister, often eager to help and guide her twin. Their special bond was a treasured part of her family’s life.

Shortly after turning three, Ruby was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer. Over the following year, she endured brain surgeries, chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, craniospinal radiation, and numerous medical procedures. Despite the exhaustion and discomfort, her family recalled how she continued to smile, laugh, and find reasons to celebrate.

Ruby’s family described her as loving, observant, brave, beautiful, and remarkably quick to learn. Though her life was heartbreakingly short, her courage left a profound impression on those who knew her.

Her family now faces an unimaginable loss, remembering a little girl whose future held countless possibilities. Ruby’s story will live on through the love she shared, the memories she created, and the strength she demonstrated.

She will forever be cherished as a beloved daughter and twin sister. As her family lovingly said goodbye: “Bye. Be safe. Have fun!”
